Squarespace

I led the design front to launch the rearchitected Acuity Enterprise Scheduling platform with tighter security, multi-location functionality, improved user management, and many quality of life upgrades.

Role

Design Lead: Research, end to end design execution (concepting, prototyping, detailed design), and usability evaluation

Highlights

All new Enterprise customers who signed in summer 2024 had access to the new experience

2x customers signed in 2024

Background

After Squarespace's acquisition of Acuity, its largest customers were left with a severely fragmented product that lacked basic user management and security features.

Acuity was sitting atop two versions of technologies—the outdated "Legacy", and the more modern "Squarespace". The objective for 2023 was to rebuild the Enterprise product using the Squarespace stack to unlock features like org-level SSO, multi-location scheduling tools, and user management.

I audited parts of the product that would be affected by moving over to Squarespace's Acuity, created design visions and evaluated them with customers and their lookalikes, and supported the team through all the UX changes that came with integrating into the Squarespace ecosystem.

Solutions

I designed a flurry of enhancements to the enterprise experience, through the MVP and fast follows, including:

A self-serve user invite and management workflow

Several new features to support multi-location scheduling and organization-level management

The Enterprise Dashboard, a product exclusive to Org Managers to oversee their scheduling operations

Single Sign-on flows for 3 major providers

That's all I can say for now about this project. If you're interested in learning more, feel free to reach out.
